The Rio de Janeiro-based band Circus released the single "Novo Mundo" in partnership with Caio Weber , vocalist of the band Cefa , and will be part of Transmissão , the group's next album.
Following “Rebirth” and “Abstractions,” the band reflects on a state of atopia in their new track, seeking to convey and spread messages laden with social criticism, a search for self-knowledge, and sincere emotions in their songs that blend alternative and hardcore.
“This pandemic has shown us that many things are fragile and superficial. I believe it has made many people rethink their lifestyle, goals, focus, attention, and especially their relationships. In the digital age, superficial goals are constantly being built. Our interactions have become shallow, as have our desires,” reflects vocalist Bernardo Tavares .
“'Novo Mundo' is a song with a positive message, about moving forward , but without being corny or superficial. It talks about the difficulty of staying sane in an increasingly sick and competitive society and about the importance of recognizing the value of the simple things in everyday life,” says Caio about the collaboration.
